So being a college student is hard. I don't have my mom or dad to make me food anymore. I don't run on a meal plan, so I have to provide food for myself. This was the struggle.
During the first few weeks, I laid out some rules. Lots of salad to replace rice. No microwaveable food. Lots of fruit/kale smoothies. But all of that pretty much fell apart when I started dating my boyfriend. Not that it's a bad thing. It's just that now I am responsible for feeding him as well, otherwise he would survive on a diet of mac and cheese and Jalapeno Hot Cheetos (which are disgusting). I don't mind cooking at all! You will recall that I have 3 years of culinary experience, and I've even won some awards along the way (shout out to AHIT). But once you have to cook every single meal for yourself while maintaining good grades for 6 classes, an internship, a relationship, and a social and family life, it gets tough!
So let's take a journey through what I've made from the beginning to the end of this semester. Notice the difference.

Okay well yeah, that's some of the food I made this semester. Honestly there is more but I chose not to show them. Sometimes I make bomb food but I forget to take pics too smh.
I will be writing a new version of this every semester! If you have any tips for me and suggestions on what to make, drop them below. I need help. Please.
To all you college folk out there- there is hope.
